Heart Is Healing

Some experiences continue to affect us long after the moment itself has passed. Grief, heartbreak, disappointment, rejection, betrayal, and other painful experiences can leave you carrying feelings that deserve care and attention. This is a space to acknowledge what you've experienced, understand what may still be affecting you, and find supportive ways to care for your heart as you move forward at your own pace.

Heart Is Healing

Pause & Reflect

What Does My Heart Need From Me?

You don't have to solve everything that still hurts in order to acknowledge that it's there.

This reflection gives you space to notice what you're carrying and consider what would feel supportive now. You decide how deeply you want to explore it.

Begin With What Feels Safe to Name

What has been weighing on my heart lately?

You can write about the experience itself, a feeling, a person, a loss, or simply what has been on your mind.

Then ask:

What feels hardest about this for me right now?

Sometimes what hurts today is different from what hurt when the experience first happened.

Notice What You Need

What have I been wishing were different?

Is there something I'm still waiting for from someone else?

What part of what I need is within my control now?

Then complete:

Right now, caring for my heart could look like ____________________.

That could lead you toward rest, prayer, journaling, a conversation, time with someone you trust, professional support, a boundary, or simply giving yourself space to feel what you feel.

You don't need to force an answer.

The purpose of this practice is to give your heart your attention.

If reflecting on an experience feels overwhelming or brings up emotions that are difficult to manage on your own, consider reaching out to a qualified mental health professional for support.
